My Thoughts On…Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark (2011)

A schlocky tale stylishly told and thankfully a departure from the normal ghosts/girls with wet hair horror of recent times. The Del Toro factor adds a nice fantasy monster element to proceedings.
Lightweight sure, and the adult leads have little to do, but the child lead holds it together and it does eerie well. Plus, pleasant (narratively speaking only) surprise at the end.
