My Thoughts On…Le Quattro Volte
A hymn to simplicity, to old ways, to the forgotten. A paean to the cycle of life in all nature. Slow cinema. Silent cinema. Quietly observant and commemorative cinema. Pure cinema.
There is a long scene featuring a passion play and a dog pulling a brake block from under the wheel of a truck that is spellbinding, magnificent and perfect. And I can’t even talk about when the young goat gets separated from the pack.
A truly beautiful film.
